A new academic year opens new horizons, but at the same time gives us the opportunity to look back. In June 2025, Ualikhanov University held a series of seminars that laid a solid foundation for future scientific initiatives and educational achievements.
- The June seminars defined the priorities of the new academic year, which departments are expected to actively pursue with students and teaching staff.
- June 3 – “Practical tools and strategies for increasing citation rates and promoting scientific publications.” Invited speakers Inesh Kenzhina and Artem Kozlovsky (Clarivate) emphasized the importance of citation as an indicator of research performance and presented analytical tools and altmetrics indicators that help authors structure their research and increase its visibility in the international academic space.
- June 10 – “Developing students’ research competencies.” The focus was on IGPA results, the analysis of student research clubs and the Student Scientific Society. Participants noted that systematic support—publications, faculty mentorship, internships, and schools—helps build a sustainable research culture among students.
- June 17 – “Interdisciplinary research: idea generation.” The workshop became a platform for joint problem-solving and the development of initial project concepts ready for grant applications. Participants highlighted the value of strengthening interfaculty ties and forming new research teams.
- June 24 – “Inclusive education: current state and prospects.” Experts discussed departmental practices, the use of digital technologies, and the main challenges in developing inclusive practices. The outcome was a set of proposals to expand the accessibility of the educational environment for all categories of students.
