Ualikhanov University at the Eurasian Silver Forum
On September 15, 2025, «the Eurasian Silver Forum: Active Longevity and Education 50+» took place at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event brought together the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, IAUTA President - Professor Franсois Vellas, IAUTA Board Member - Professor Janka Sebera Chladecka and representatives of leading Kazakhstani universities.Rector of Ualikhanov University and President of the Kazakhstan Association of Silver Universities (KASU) Mr. Marat Syrlybayev welcomed the participants on behalf of the Ualikhanov Silver University. Vice-Rector Ms. Aigul Zhakupova presented the report “5 Years of Ualikhanov Silver University.” During the forum MOUs were signed between IAUTA and a number of Kazakhstani universities.Ualikhanov University was among the first in Kazakhstan to open a Silver University (University of the Third Age) and is now a member of IAUTA. In 2025, the university initiated the creation of KASU, which now unites 11 universities across the country.The forum served as a significant platform for partnership, exchange of best practices, and advancing KASU to the international arena.
