Inclusive education in KU named after Sh. Ualikhanov

The University is carrying out systematic work to create conditions for accessible and quality education for all students, including persons with special educational needs. Development of inclusive environment is an important part of the educational policy of KU named after Sh. Ualikhanov.

Inclusion coordinators

The university has appointed coordinators responsible for accompanying students with disabilities. Their tasks include:

• organisation of learning conditions taking into account individual -needs of students;
• support in adapting to the educational process
• interaction with teachers and supervisors
• consultations for students, faculty and parents
• organisation of courses and trainings on inclusive pedagogy.The applicant should also be informed about the possibility to participate in scholarship programmes, social support, counselling and adaptation activities. The university regularly organises professional development courses for teaching staff on inclusive education, which allows creating a comfortable and safe educational environment.All these measures are aimed at ensuring that each applicant feels part of the university and has the opportunity to realise his or her potential
